Melanie Benyahya is an illustrator and tattooist, and she also likes experimenting other ways of expression such as writing or making collages.
Melanie Benyahya es una ilustradora y tatuadora, y también le gusta experimentar otras formas de expresión, como escribir o el collage.
She studied journalism at Complutense University of Madrid, where she specialized in art & culture communication. Even though she is a self-taught artist, she grew up in a very creative environment that allowed her to develop her skills.
Para ella es importante la simbología dentro de sus ilustraciones y tatuajes. Encuentra la inspiración en la naturaleza, el ocultismo y el mundo onírico; uniendo todo con líneas finas y minimalismo sin descuidar los detalles que a veces pueden recordar a los grabados de la Edad Media.
For her is important the symbology within her illustrations and tattoos. She finds inspiration in nature, occultism and the oneiric world; putting all together with fine lines and minimalism without neglecting the details that sometimes could remind to the Middle Age’s engravings.
