Barbara Long

British visual artist whose work is created from natural materials and found objects.

One of her pieces, made from recycled plastic packaging, fishing line, and found plastic cords, is particularly well-suited for outdoor and open-air spaces. Part of the plastic used in the work comes from agricultural materials—specifically, the plastic used by farmers to wrap hay bales. A percentage of the proceeds from its sale is donated to breast cancer research.

She has also performed in front of the Reina Sofía Museum, aiming to raise awareness about the gender gap—both in domestic environments and within cultural institutions.
